- First meeting of a series of free appointments that will be offered during 2023 to all owners of local economic activities (SMEs, retail, restaurants, services, etc.) who wish to update their skills in the digital field. The event will explore challenges and opportunities brought by new digital technologies and will present concrete actions that every commercial activity can adopt in its operations to remain competitive in a rapidly changing market.

Description
- Digital transformation has changed many of the assumptions on which retail has been based in recent decades.
In more recent years, also thanks to the pandemic, the digitalization process has accelerated, jeopardizing the survival of many businesses. Technological development combined with the change in consumer habits require a rethinking of the traditional model. - Technological progress is also accompanied by new opportunities that the city has been able to seize by promoting projects such as MyLugano and Plan B, initiatives that exploit the potential offered by new technologies to promote and support the local economy.
As part of this constant commitment to digitalization accessible to everyone, the city launches a training course dedicated to all merchants in Lugano who wish to update their skills in the digital field. - The first meeting, scheduled for Monday, February 13, 2022 from 18:00 at the former Ciani kindergarten, will explore challenges and opportunities related to new technologies and will discuss concrete actions that every commercial activity can adopt in its operations to remain competitive in a rapidly changing market. During the evening, participants will be able to experience first-hand some of the technological opportunities promoted by the city, such as the MyLugano app or the payment terminal (POS) for cryptocurrencies.
