- The City of Lugano, together with USI, SUPSI and FUS, is pleased to announce the first public event dedicated to university students studying in the city's universities, as well as anyone who wants to join.
This moment of sharing and welcome celebrates the start of the new academic year 2024/2025. It will be an opportunity to informally socialize between the different universities, discover what Lugano offers for students, make new friends and feel part of the Lugano university community.

(Tell recipe, 18:00-19:00)- TBC: Students from the three universities will compete in a race on Lake Lugano aboard the iconic red pedal boats. A goliardic competition that will promote community spirit among the participants. The public will be able to cheer and follow the race from the shore, with live commentary offered by RSI BarNüm.
The prizes to the winning teams include a weekend with an overnight stay in the Lugano area offered by Lugano Region and other surprises from Enjoy Lugano. The official award ceremony for the first edition of the university pedalo race is scheduled at 21:30 in Piazza Riforma.

(16:00-20:00)- The City and the various partners of the event will present themselves in an exhibition village set up at the Lugano Exhibition Center. For those who study in the city and beyond, it will be an opportunity to discover the activities and initiatives promoted by the municipal administration in favor of the population.
These moments of exchange bring institutions and citizens closer together and promote knowledge of the territory and its offers, starting from simple but not obvious questions: what to do in Lugano during your free time? What are the opportunities to volunteer and work in the city? What does the territory offer at a cultural level? Where can you play sports and keep fit? What are the references of the digital innovation scene in Lugano?
In the Village, university universities, student associations, the Lugano Tourism Authority, RSI Spam, YouTi and STRAluGano will also be present with targeted initiatives, which will start on September 28.
