Free portal to book admission to the spaces, structures and events of the City of Lugano.

- Book Lugano is the portal created by the City of Lugano that allows you to book entrance to public spaces/facilities via smartphone/PC, including beaches and bathing facilities, museums and events scheduled throughout the summer managed by the City of Lugano, avoiding the risks of gatherings and maintaining the rules of social distancing.

How it works
- The health emergency of COVID 19 and the important restrictions put in place to contain it affect in particular the activities of the Dicastery for culture, sports and events. Restrictions that do not stop the desire of the City of Lugano to offer citizens and tourists who frequent it the opportunity to benefit on the one hand from accommodation facilities such as municipal beaches and on the other hand to participate in the numerous events scheduled by the events division, the culture division and the LAC.
- In difficulties, important opportunities arise and one of these, confirmed the desire to open its structures to the public, is the creation of book.lugano.ch, the web page thanks to which it is possible to book and purchase the services offered by the Dicastery.
A varied offer, developed mainly for the management of access to bathing facilities, limited this summer to compliance with the standard of 10 m2/per person, extended to a coordinated vision of the summer offer of museums, events and spaces open to the public by reservation.

To use Book Lugano just log in to the site, search for the event and select the day. Subsequently, a form must be filled out by entering some data (name, telephone number and e-mail) for the purpose of tracing due to Coronavirus and selecting the number of people (a single person can book a maximum of five places). After that, again from the site, you will proceed with the payment and by e-mail you will receive confirmation of the booking and a QR code. This will be scanned (from the smartphone or printed) by the staff of the structure where you booked, both upon arrival and at the end of the event.
