Sound Dialogues: the responsible use of AI in artistic creation

/ Eventi

Public debate with musical performance supported by AI on the role of AI in artistic creation March 6, 2025/17:30-19:00

L*3
  • Electronic and digital artists and composers have always explored the potential of computation to generate synthetic sounds and images. Today they are faced with a so-called 'new frontier': the use of artificial intelligence as an alter ego, opponent or collaborator in creative production.

While on the one hand, AI automates processes and reduces costs, renewing the business model of artistic production, on the other hand, it flattens expressive diversity, offering sound experiences generated by algorithms that are often limited in terms of creativity.
  • To explore these themes, the event will see the participation of composer Pierre Alexandre Tremblay and researcher Caterina Moruzzi and Serena Cangiano, who will create a sound conversation on the implications of AI in creativity. Through a journey made of sounds and demonstrations, the speakers will highlight critical issues and opportunities related to the responsible use of artificial intelligence: from the intransparent exploitation of data and works, to the adoption of tools for the empowerment of creative communities.
