From 19 to 21 October 2023, the City of Lugano will be transformed for the second consecutive year into an information and discussion hub in the bitcoin field thanks to the international event “Plan B Forum” born from the collaboration between the City and Tether. With the Plan B Forum, industry experts will gather in Lugano engaged in the dissemination and sharing of this reality, an event in English and for those who have already taken their first steps in this sector.
In this context, however, the Lugano executive has guaranteed a series of free initiatives, in Italian and open to everyone: the Plan B “Open” Forum. - This is to openly ensure, Open precisely, everyone has access to precious opportunities to increase their knowledge on these issues and to be able to have concrete experiences at the same time, such as carrying out the first digital transaction to buy a simple pizza using a cryptocurrency.
In Piazza Castello there will be the sculpture, a monument to courage, Anything to Say by Davide Dormino. “Anything To Say?” is a life-size bronze sculpture that portrays three figures, each standing on a chair. The fourth chair is empty and is intended to represent the visitor's presence. It is precisely in the empty chair that the visitor can climb to express themselves or simply to be next to Edward Snowden, Julian Assange and Chelsea Manning, who had the courage to say no to the intrusion of global surveillance. Loved and hated, the three figures represented have sacrificed themselves for freedom of expression: anything to say?
