A free showcase to give visibility to small local realities

Since July 2020, the service has been promoted by the Cities of Bellinzona, Chiasso, Locarno, Lugano and Mendrisio (“the promoting cities”).

The platform
kilometrozero.ch was founded in spring 2020 to give online visibility to the products and services of small local businesses, facilitate exchanges between producers and consumers, promote genuine local products, in particular those at zero kilometers, deliver groceries at home and support the local economy.

Why this initiative?
Given the situation that has arisen due to the spread of the new coronavirus (COVID-19), the City of Lugano has decided to provide a free and easy-to-use platform to give online visibility to the products and services of small local businesses, to facilitate the encounter between demand and supply, that is, between the primary sector and citizens.
The purpose of the kilometrozero.ch platform is to provide online visibility to the products and services of small local businesses and to facilitate exchanges between producers and consumers, in particular those who offer a home delivery service for food products and more.

‍Choose the products you want and add them to the cart. Complete the operation by entering your details.
At the end of the transaction, the manufacturer or retailer will contact you directly to agree on delivery and payment methods. Orders are processed daily.
The list of products, manufacturers and retailers is constantly updated.
The use of the platform is free of charge. The cost of the products is indicated on the platform in the Shop section and is defined directly by the retailers.
