  • More and more everyday services are digital and available online: buying a train ticket or a show, paying bills, booking an appointment, and so on. Digital Point was created to help those who are not very familiar with the computer, cell phone, tablet or Internet browsing, through the exchange of knowledge with volunteer students.

    Digital Point
is a project created in November 2022 to offer free individual assistance to those who have difficulties in the daily use of digital technologies. Citizens can book an appointment by calling +41 58 866 74 10 or by writing to puntodigitale@lugano.ch and receive support by carrying your device or using the computers available on site. A distinctive element of the project is the involvement of students of the Bachelor in Communication Sciences of the Università della Svizzera Italiana, who volunteer as digital assistants.

This experience allows them to acquire training credits and apply communication skills developed in their academic path.
  • The Digital Point is open on Wednesday (8:30-11:30) and Saturday (9:00-12:00), closed during school holidays. It combines other services such as Workspace and training (active since 2020 to support job search through digital tools) and EquiD (which provides free used computers to those who need them).

This is an experimental project promoted by Sociality Division and Lugano Living Lab, in collaboration withUniversità della Svizzera Italiana. It is part of the City's digitalization strategies and the promotion of basic digital skills among the population, with the support of cantonal and federal funding.
