A free mentoring program in Lugano for university students:

- develop the art of presenting your projects effectively to companies, startups and industry specialists, through targeted and interactive meet-ups.
Speakers' corner is dedicated to the promotion of the best theses, research and field projects carried out by USI-SUPSI-FUS students and former university students, masters and PhD candidates, thanks to a series of annual meetings to promote collaboration between students, academic institutions, businesses and the community.
2024 edition
- Speakers' Corner is an ecosystem of free mentoring and public presentations that unites university students with the professional and technological world. This project allows students to acquire crucial skills in effectively presenting their research and thesis, preparing them to leave a strong impression on the audience. The purpose is twofold: to facilitate access to job opportunities, internships and collaborations with startups, and to teach how to promote their ideas in a convincing way.

Speakers' corner is a project promoted by the City of Lugano and L*3 in collaboration with USI- Università della Svizzera Italiana SUPSI- Professional University School of Italian Switzerland, FUS- Franklin University Switzerland and Wetube — CSR.
During the academic year, students participate in meetings with companies, associations and research institutes in Lugano, presenting their work in different locations. These meet-ups promote cultural, scientific and community exchange, offering students a unique platform to enhance their academic efforts and create professional connections, underlining the importance of Lugano as an innovative and attractive university city. - Meet-up Program (Spring Semester 2024)

- Who can participate?
- University students from Ticino, undergraduates, bachelor's, master's and PhD graduates with theses or field projects related to Finance and Computer Science, perspectives on Sustainability, Lifestyle, Innovation and Society and the entrepreneurial career starting from the academic world.
- Can I participate even if I am not Italian speaking?
- Yes, the mentoring and the final presentation may be carried out in Italian or English depending on the student's preferences
- How do you sign up?

- Will there be a video of my presentation?
- The presentations/pitches will be recorded and the videos will be published on the Lugano Living Lab YouTube channel. Each video will contain the author's name-surname as well as the title of the contribution.
The videos may be shared on the social networks of L*3 and the universities involved in order to disseminate the contents and the Speakers' Corner project.

- Does participation have registration fees or fees?
- No, the project is totally free.
- I did a group job, can we participate in a team?
- Participation as a team/working group is expected: the same conditions apply for the creation of videos for individual students.
