What does the #digitaleOn0ff contest consist of

  • Objective of the #digitaleOn0ff competition
    • Let the younger generations tell directly, through the animated video, what some digital addictions consist of in order to generate awareness and participation
  • What are the digital addictions covered by the competition?
    • Make an animated video containing your interpretation of one of the following digital addictions: - gaming disorder (video game addiction) - compulsive online shopping - gambling addictionTo get inspired and understand more about what these three digital addictions consist of, watch the following videos made in collaboration with RSI EDU.
  • Who can participate in the competition?
    • Girls and boys enrolled in a middle school or a post-compulsory institution (SCC, High School, Professional Center) in Ticino can participate at the time the animated video is delivered. Participation can take place individually or in groups. Each participant or group can submit a single animated video.
  • What do you win?
    • - 1,000 CHF for the best animated video cycle of middle school (Ia, Iia, IIIa and average VAT);
    • - 1,000 CHF for the best animated high school cycle video (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th after compulsory education).
    • - All participants will receive a surprise at LVGA during the event on November 25, 2023 at the Ciani Nursery in Lugano.
  • What can I do to enter the competition?
    • Choose the digital addiction to tell:
      Freely choose which of the three digital addictions (video games/internet, compulsive online shopping, gambling) and which aspect to focus on in your video: you can decide whether to give preference to a personal, social, emotional or scientific focus.

      To make your video you can use any tool/software, including new artificial intelligence tools. Not sure how to make an animated video? Sign up for workshops or watch the tutorials offered on this page

      Send us your animated video by 30/10/23
      :
      The animated video must be sent in .mov or MP4 format no later than 30/10/2023 by filling out the official competition form available on this page.

      Awards on 25/11/23

      Up for grabs: 1,000 CHF for the best animated video cycle of middle school (Ia, Iia, IIIa and VAT average); 1,000 CHF for the best animated video cycle of high school (IA, IIa, IIIa and IVa after compulsory education). All participants will receive a surprise at LVGA during the event on November 25, 2023 at the Ciani Nursery in Lugano.
  • Who will evaluate your animated video
    • The Commission — composed of members of IBSA Foundation, Lugano Living Lab — City of Lugano, DECS, Wetube — RSI and RSI EDU, and CCDigitalLaw of USI Università della Svizzera Italiana — will evaluate the works received and identify the winners and winners. The Commission's judgment is unquestionable.
  • How will the winning videos be used?
  • Features of your animated video
    • - Video length: minimum 30 seconds, maximum 1 minute and 30 seconds.
      - The video must not contain faces or images of real people, even if they consent to the shooting.
      - Use your creativity and not images, videos, or content in violation of copyright. Don't you know what copyright is? Consult this page
      - The video must not contain violent, vulgar and offensive content.
  • How to make an animated video?
    • Take part in the free workshops offered by Wetube RSI. Are you unable to attend the workshops? No problem: follow the video tutorials available on this page digitaleconsapevole.ch/digitaleonoff/
