A project on inclusive micromobility supported by the Federal Office for Territorial Development (ARE)

L*3
  • The InclusiveMicroMob project aims to test a new inclusive and sustainable multimodal mobility offer.
  • Proposal
    • January 2023
  • Started
    • June 2023
  • Concluded
    • December 2024

Description

  • The project involves the testing of a new micromobility product, no longer intended exclusively for people with disabilities, but intended for the entire population. This testing process will take place in a real urban environment (in Lugano, CH), thanks to the active participation of the City of Lugano, through the Lugano Living Lab.
  • The collaboration involves the involvement of the Swiss innovation company Genny Factory SA, which will provide and monitor the prototypes.
  • The project is coordinated by the Professional University School of Italian Switzerland (SUPSI), which will provide its skills in sociology, urban study, data analysis and evaluation of benefits related to sustainability, will allow the project to validate and offer the market a new inclusive and sustainable multimodal micromobility approach.

The Genny Zero prototype test

  • The Genny Zero prototype
    • Genny Zero is a compact, self-balancing, two-wheeled electric device with a dynamic aesthetic created by GENNY FACTORY SA.
Conceived in previous versions as a means of mobility for people with disabilities, Genny Zero has now been optimized to support cities in new inclusive micro-mobility systems.
  • Book your Genny Zero prototype test
    • From September 2023, test tests of the Genny Zero prototype will be organized in Lugano during the autumn.
A unique opportunity to test first-hand inclusive micromobility for everyone in an experimental urban context.

We are looking for volunteers interested in testing the Genny Zero prototype: use this form to book your test.

SUPSI researchers will contact you to set the date of your test.
